Errol and Alex Rita—the DJing, curatorial duo and co-founders of Touching Bass—are the fourth faces of CLASH 134.

As Touching Bass turns ten, the pair reflect on the impact of a mission that has grown far beyond its South London origins. What began on a sweaty, Senegalese restaurant dancefloor has slow-cooked into a true musical movement: a principled club night, NTS Radio staple, award-nominated record label and concert series.

This year moves the needle further via a self-produced world tour. Still committed to their foundations, yet magnetically engaged with the future, they celebrate a decade of life's work with their dedicated now-global network.

In conversation with CLASH, Errol and Alex Rita take stock of how their evolving individual practices have established them as go-to curators at the intersection of music, contemporary art and culture. Meanwhile, a shared commitment to intention, storytelling and close-knit friendship has nurtured the creative ecosystem around them—all while navigating parenthood.

They tell CLASH: "It's us and the nucleus of our strong friendship group, which remains pretty much identical to when we started. That's really important. We are all our own compasses."
