Björk is the third face of CLASH 130.

A fusion-focussed avatar for cultural synthesis, Björk is a singular creative force. The past decade has really put her through it, but music and aesthetic experimentation remains at her core. Re-rooting herself in her native Reykjavik, Björk’s work has broken fresh boundaries, blurring the lines between visual art, tech innovation, and her avant-pop streak.

Vastly ambitious concert film Björk: Cornucopia brings together the recent threads of her work in one tantalising place. A Petri dish of innovative possibility, it’s a jaw-dropping fusion of technological capability - a sense of theatre rooted in 19th century traditions, and Björk’s inherent gravitas.

The performance summarises her potent 21st century album arc, while also synthesising some of her permanent aims into one glorious feast of eye-bursting creative vitality.

Granting CLASH a rare audience during a visit to London, Björk opened up about her processes, while passionately defending her DIY foundations and re-affirming her commitment to tomorrow’s art today.

She told us: “That’s the energy that drives me – I feel like I’m growing. It’s not fame, it’s personal growth.”
